Job description Marine Superintendent

The position shall be responsible for the development of appropriate procedures and policies for the management of all aspects of efficient and safe marine vessel operations at Addax Terminals, surrounding production facilities, Drilling rigs, Barges and other Marine equipment on hire to Addax. Other responsibilities are as follow:
    To ensure that all marine operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally aware manner, consistent with industry standards (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISGOTT, OCIMF etc), by offload tankers at the terminal, supply vessels, tugs, work boats and other marine vessels operating within the ADDAX offshore facilities.
    Assist in the review, monitoring and periodical audits of the performance, suitability, sustainability, regulatory performance, and quality standards of all marine vessels operating within the ADDAX offshore facilities.
    Ensure all marine contingency, emergency response and crisis management plans are current and exercised regularly.
    Monitor mooring operations and performance of export tankers in line with Charter Party terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with Terminal Regulations for offload tankers and to ensure that the Ship Shore Safety checklist is properly completed and maintained throughout the loading period. Monitor offload tanker operations and ensure prompt vessel turnaround in order to avoid demurrage.
    Review and confirm the suitability of all vessels nominated for bunker deliveries to the terminals.
    Plan and schedule timely delivery of bunkers to the FPSO to ensure that sufficient stocks are always available.
    Investigate and provide report on all marine accidents, incidents and ‘near misses’ within the ADDAX offshore facilities.
    Ensure procedures for all export tanker operations and marine vessel operations are adhered to. Through continuous review and updating of procedures, legislations and technology etc. drive efficiencies and safety improvement in operations

Requirements Marine Superintendent

    Class 1 (Master Mariner) Certificate of Competency
    DCE (Dangerous Cargo Endorsement) in Petroleum preferred.
    Marine Lead Auditor preferred
    At least 5 years experience as a Ships Captain, Marine Supt or Mooring/Loading Master. Oil & Gas terminal experience preferred. Previous FPSO experience desirable.

    Minimum of a University 2nd Class Honours Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical/Process Engineering Discipline.
    Full member of an Internationally recognised professional engineering institute.
    Minimum of 18 years in the Upstream Oil and Gas industry, with at least 8 years in a similar position. Operating company and Nigerian / West African experience preferred.
    Sound knowledge of International Oil and Gas design standards.
    Proven skills in leading multi-disciplined, multi-cultural engineering teams and delivering engineering projects on time and within budget.

Job description Asset Integrity Process Engineer(Senior)

    Develop client Operations Integrity Strategy document to provide clear outline of how client Operational Integrity will be managed.
    Carry out periodic Integrity internal gap analysis (Self-Assessment) throughout the client operational assets, including third party operations to determine Continuous Lifecycle gaps and key areas of improvement necessary in order to mitigate operational business risks tolerable.
    Provide single line responsibility for the client Operations Asset Integrity Goals & Roles Management Plan & develop the annual Process Safety Budget & Contract Strategies.
    Develop and maintain Operational Envelope for all of client operations providing periodic updates and implementation of tolerable SCE mitigation controls for any excursion occurrences in order to prevent process risk exposure of the facilities.
    Provide Operational Interface on client Facilities Team Projects for Process /Operations / Engineering / Maintenance-CMMS / Subsea, OR&A & RFSU development issues
    Review Management of Change proposals for process and operational risks and provide appropriate input.
    Carry out periodic client facility Fit-for-Service inspections in support of departmental issue an annual Statement of Fitness
    Investigate incidents, accidents and complaints & issue a monthly report
    Initiate research focused on resolving hazards in the offshore work environment;
    Make technical contributions to the development of Addax group standards and guidance;
    Provide expert advice on client Group process engineering Performance Assurance standards to all stakeholders and HSE colleagues
    Support the client Lifecycle continuous improvement operations by ensuring that good practice is enshrined into the daily activities of the Production Team. These would include but not be limited to engaging work force to take ownership of & apply: Operational Procedures, Safe Work Practices, Emergency Management, Incident Investigation, Process Safety Isolations, Competency & Training, MoC, Management of Over-rides and Operations Interface Communications.
    Client Operations Risk Register Custodian to ensure Severity Criticality impact ranking & development of tolerable SCE mitigations are maintained up-to-date
    Client Asset Integrity focal point to participate in development of Project Safety Cases & reviews of Operations Lifecycle Safety Cases alignment with APC AIMS Policy.
    Coach & mentor Cleint Nationals to adopt and embed sound operational integrity in their normal work practice
    Contribute to the development of a sound safety critical information management in support of the Production Operations accurate, ‘as built’ documentation P&ID’s, PFD’s, C&E Loss Control; Isometrics; Plot Plans, SCE, Ex & SIL Registers etc

Requirements Asset Integrity Process Engineer(Senior)

    Degree in an Engineering Discipline or Equivalent
    Minimum of 10 years in the Oil and Gas industry
    Sound knowledge of Oil & Gas Asset Integrity Subsea infrastructure installation criteria, Nigerian Legislation, International Standards & Work experience applying SCE Risk Reliability Management, Quality Assurance & Quality Control for mature & new Oil and Gas Project installations.

    Good organisational, verbal and written communication skills
