Job description Marine Superintendent
The
position shall be responsible for the development of appropriate
procedures and policies for the management of all aspects of efficient
and safe marine vessel operations at Addax Terminals, surrounding
production facilities, Drilling rigs, Barges and other Marine equipment
on hire to Addax. Other responsibilities are as follow:
To ensure that all marine operations are
conducted in a safe and environmentally aware manner, consistent with
industry standards (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISGOTT, OCIMF etc), by offload
tankers at the terminal, supply vessels, tugs, work boats and other
marine vessels operating within the ADDAX offshore facilities.
Assist in the review, monitoring and periodical audits of the
performance, suitability, sustainability, regulatory performance, and
quality standards of all marine vessels operating within the ADDAX
offshore facilities.
Ensure all marine contingency, emergency response and crisis management plans are current and exercised regularly.
Monitor mooring operations and performance of export tankers in line
with Charter Party terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with Terminal
Regulations for offload tankers and to ensure that the Ship Shore
Safety checklist is properly completed and maintained throughout the
loading period. Monitor offload tanker operations and ensure prompt
vessel turnaround in order to avoid demurrage.
Review and confirm the suitability of all vessels nominated for bunker deliveries to the terminals.
Plan and schedule timely delivery of bunkers to the FPSO to ensure that sufficient stocks are always available.
Investigate and provide report on all marine accidents, incidents and ‘near misses’ within the ADDAX offshore facilities.
Ensure procedures for all export tanker operations and marine vessel
operations are adhered to. Through continuous review and updating of
procedures, legislations and technology etc. drive efficiencies and
safety improvement in operations
Requirements Marine Superintendent
Class 1 (Master Mariner) Certificate of Competency
DCE (Dangerous Cargo Endorsement) in Petroleum preferred.
Marine Lead Auditor preferred
At least 5 years experience as a Ships Captain, Marine Supt or
Mooring/Loading Master. Oil & Gas terminal experience preferred.
Previous FPSO experience desirable.
A working knowledge of semi-submersible and jackup rig moving and positioning operations.
Industry standards (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISSGOT, OCIMF etc) and their usage within the Company’s operations

Main Purpose
To co-ordinate and control the movement of all materials, rental and owned, relating to the operations on client location.
Ensure compliance with established procedures, legislation and health and safety guidelines for work operation.
Duties
Control and reconcile the movement of all materials by sea and air.
Maintain inventory for all company owned and rental materials; ensure
efficient turnaround of equipment in a cost-effective manner.
Co-ordinate all cargo details and documentation prior to loading and
discharge of vessels to ensure a smooth and cost-effective turnaround of
vessels.
Provide and maintain an efficient and reliable material
control and stock administration facility in order to meet operational
requirements.
Prepare all documentation including Customs

regulations; using computer and manual systems according to statutory
and procedural requirements, ensuring all cargo is accurately
documented.
Preparation of Reports to include but not limited to,
summary of bulks, rentals, bits, tubulars, opening stock levels, usage
and closing stock levels. Also a summary of vessel and helicopter
movements.
Foster good working relationships with onshore and offshore personnel.
Maintain close links with offshore and onshore customers to ensure all
material priorities are identified in sufficient time so that
contingency plans can be implemented where required.

To
act as a focal point/technical authority for pipeline engineering

a Technical Assistant for its QHSE Group. The role of this job is to
provide support to the QHSE Division to facilitate smooth processing of
technical administrative matters covering QHSE filing, data entry, HSE
records management, KMS databases and related issues. Undertake
statistical calculations and reporting, including tracking and trending
of QHSE performance.
Establish and maintain a manual /
computerized filing and documentation management and retention system
for the HSE Division to ensure that all technical documentation and
records are maintained in an orderly manner to facilitate retrieval.
Develop and maintain an up-to-date database on Power2, Near Misses, HSE
alerts, accidents, contractors, emergency information, laws and
