Big Engineering Group LLC is recruiting to fill the vacant position of:

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Job Location: Lagos Island

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect the site and develop the methodology to carry out the above work.
• Prepare the specification and BOQ for the works in consultation with Maintenance Manager.
• Floating the enquiry, arranging the site visit and explaining the works to Subcontractors.
• Follow up & obtain necessary quotations, analyse the rates and negotiate with Subcontractors both technically and commercially.
• Submit the Comparative statement with necessary recommendations to the Maintenance Manager. Also advice the management regarding the actual cost involved in the works.
• Verification and certification of the Invoice of the subcontractor upon completion of the works
• Also source for the Stock material and specialized items required, obtain the quotations, negotiate with suppliers for the quality and price, prepare the comparative statement and submit to the Maintenance Manager

Key Requirements:

• Must be a qualified Quantity Surveyor
• Candidates should have a strong QS background
• Minimum 3 years relevant work experience in construction projects.
• Determined work ethic and must be seen to be professional at all times (communication and presentation)
• Mathematical acumen, Good team player, self-driven and good with numbers
• Must be computer literate with sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Project.
