The Junior Professional Officers’ Programme (JPO-P) was established in 1963 to provide young professionals pursuing a career in development with hands-on experience in multilateral technical cooperation. It is funded with donations from donor countries. Currently, there are 19 sponsors comprising 16 countries from Europe and 3 from Asia. The programme is administered by the JPO Service Center in Copenhagen. Finance Duties
  • Preparation of regular and ad-hoc management reports
  • Preparation of budgets and financial forecasts

  • Calculating and processing monthly payroll
  • Payment of bills
  • Liaise with external parties – auditors, banks, etc.

  • Maintain inventory of office supplies, requisition new supplies, and distribute supplies to authorized parties
  • Schedule and monitor equipment repairs and service contracts
  • Maintain confidential records and files, and handle confidential correspondence and records.
Requirements
  • Applicants MUST be resident in Lagos.
  • The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting or related subject
  • 0 - 1 Year experience in similar role (new graduate, entry level)
  • Good initiative skill and ability to work with little guidance
