Duties and Responsibilities
:
Under the direct technical supervision of the Regional UN-REDD MRV Expert in Accra, the National REDD+ Coordinator at the Federal Ministry of Environment & the Chairman of the Forestry Commission of the Cross River States, and working in close collaboration with the UNREDD ChiefTechnical Advisor in Nigeria, and the Assistant FAO Representative for Programmes, the National MRV Expert will support and undertake activities leading to the development of a robust forest monitoring and reporting system to meet the needs of both the national and tnternational reporting requirements for Nigeria.

Qualifications
  • Advanced degree (at least Masters) in Forestry or a closely related field with emphasis on Forest Inventory, Remote Sensing, and GIS.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professions/experience
  • Experience working in inter-cultural environments and relevant working experience for an international or multi-lateral organization are a plus.
  • International travels may also be required.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
  • Competence in forest information, systems and information management and experience in capacity building
  • Demonstrated field experience in Nigeria and strong knowledge of relevant Nigerian

Job Title: Sanitation Marketing Manager
The role will support the development and implementation of evidence –based sanitation marketing programs in three of the six focal states where WaterAid Nigeria is implementing the Sustainable Total Sanitation project. Required Qualifications and Experience

Professor - MUTSSS 7
A good honours degree and a PhD in a relevant field from a recognized University with not less than ten (10) years of teaching and research experience since becoming a Lecturer II in a University or Institution of comparable status. A good honours degree and a PhD in a relevant field with at least eight (8) years teaching and research experience in a University or Institution of comparable status. Candidates must also be able to initiate projects, possess some administrative experience as well as experience in working with interdisciplinary groups. Job Description

  • Delivers on project within time and budget using prescribed project control mechanisms.
  • Provides the leadership and energy necessary to motivate staff and achieve project goals.
  • Establishes project scope and schedules between management, project committee, technical teams (process owners) and project team members.
  • Communicates effectively with management, project committee and technical teams (process owners).
  • Leads regularly scheduled project huddles and meetings, including kick off and close-out.
  • Leads the development of reports, analyses and project presentations.
  • Ensures the quality of project deliverables.
  • Supervises project team members.
  • Ensures project delivery processes and procedures are followed.
  • Coordinates project resources to meet the company's needs.
  • Ensures that defined project schedule and deliverables are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Delivers project deliverables in compliance with the company's quality control procedures and guidelines.
  • Prepares Programme and project schedules in up to date Project software/application.
  • Coach new project managers and junior staff.
  • Maintain an audit trail of project activities.
  • Any other assignment that might be delegated from time to time by the CEO.
Qualifications
Education

  • B.Sc or B.Eng Engineering
Experience
  • 6 – 7 years Project Management experience.
  • Experience in Business Management.
  • Insurance industry experience an added advantage.
