Job Description

Job Title: BPPM Consultant

Job Type: 6 month rolling contract

Location: Lagos

Salary: $250-$300 plus expenses 

Roles and Responsibilities:

Monitoring ESM Tools application for availability and performance

Checking Log files on regular basis

Troubleshooting performance issues and implement solutions to improve the performance – The Service Providers will provide recommendations and will implement the solution which are within 4 Hours of effort and any activity beyond this period will be a CR. SLA Compliance in scenarios where there is performance degradation due to existing configuration/customization to be discussed and SLA to be relaxed as necessary.

Troubleshooting Workflow Related issues

For performance management

Responsible for developing BMC PATROL Knowledge Modules (KMs) for use on PATROL Agents, and converting PATROL KMs into Performance Managers for the BMC Portal (via the use of the Portal SDK)

Knowledge module development is accomplished using the BMC Performance Manager Classic Console

Perform administration and configuration tasks, using the console; create custom KMs, using BMC PATROL scripting language (PSL); create custom events, using the PATROL Event Editor; create recovery actions, using PSL; and create custom Performance Monitors, using the Portal SDK

For workload automation

Create the job schedules in a production environment

Verify that jobs run correctly

Monitor the system in conjunction with Operators

Applying required patches limited to minor releases as and when made available by BMC Support.

Planning and execution of housekeeping and archiving activities. The client to provide the tools for archiving and archiving policy/process exists.

Support for Archiving data as per requirement

Adding / Deleting / Updating user privileges

Add, delete & change user permissions from license and password standpoint.

Changing user groups, login ids and passwords

Support for new IS solutions and projects
