Job description Marine Superintendent
The position shall be responsible for the development of appropriate procedures and policies for the management of all aspects of efficient and safe marine vessel operations at Addax Terminals, surrounding production facilities, Drilling rigs, Barges and other Marine equipment on hire to Addax. Other responsibilities are as follow:
To ensure that all marine operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally aware manner, consistent with industry standards (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISGOTT, OCIMF etc), by offload tankers at the terminal, supply vessels, tugs, work boats and other marine vessels operating within the ADDAX offshore facilities.
Assist in the review, monitoring and periodical audits of the performance, suitability, sustainability, regulatory performance, and quality standards of all marine vessels operating within the ADDAX offshore facilities.
Ensure all marine contingency, emergency response and crisis management plans are current and exercised regularly.
Monitor mooring operations and performance of export tankers in line with Charter Party terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with Terminal Regulations for offload tankers and to ensure that the Ship Shore Safety checklist is properly completed and maintained throughout the loading period. Monitor offload tanker operations and ensure prompt vessel turnaround in order to avoid demurrage.
Review and confirm the suitability of all vessels nominated for bunker deliveries to the terminals.
Plan and schedule timely delivery of bunkers to the FPSO to ensure that sufficient stocks are always available.
Investigate and provide report on all marine accidents, incidents and ‘near misses’ within the ADDAX offshore facilities.
Ensure procedures for all export tanker operations and marine vessel operations are adhered to. Through continuous review and updating of procedures, legislations and technology etc. drive efficiencies and safety improvement in operations
Requirements Marine Superintendent
Class 1 (Master Mariner) Certificate of Competency
DCE (Dangerous Cargo Endorsement) in Petroleum preferred.
Marine Lead Auditor preferred
At least 5 years experience as a Ships Captain, Marine Supt or Mooring/Loading Master. Oil & Gas terminal experience preferred. Previous FPSO experience desirable.
A working knowledge of semi-submersible and jackup rig moving and positioning operations.
Industry standards (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISSGOT, OCIMF etc) and their usage within the Company’s operations
Mooring, Unmooring, Loading processes and procedures

The position shall be responsible for the development of appropriate procedures and policies for the management of all aspects of efficient and safe marine vessel operations at Addax Terminals, surrounding production facilities, Drilling rigs, Barges and other Marine equipment on hire to Addax. Other responsibilities are as follow:
To ensure that all marine operations are conducted in a safe and environmentally aware manner, consistent with industry standards (MARPOL, SOLAS, ISGOTT, OCIMF etc), by offload tankers at the terminal, supply vessels, tugs, work boats and other marine vessels operating within the ADDAX offshore facilities.
Assist in the review, monitoring and periodical audits of the performance, suitability, sustainability, regulatory performance, and quality standards of all marine vessels operating within the ADDAX offshore facilities.
Ensure all marine contingency, emergency response and crisis management plans are current and exercised regularly.
Monitor mooring operations and performance of export tankers in line with Charter Party terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with Terminal Regulations for offload tankers and to ensure that the Ship Shore Safety checklist is properly completed and maintained throughout the loading period. Monitor offload tanker operations and ensure prompt vessel turnaround in order to avoid demurrage.
Review and confirm the suitability of all vessels nominated for bunker deliveries to the terminals.
Plan and schedule timely delivery of bunkers to the FPSO to ensure that sufficient stocks are always available.

Job description Technical Assistant - QHSE
An International Operating Company in Lagos, Nigeria is looking to recruit a Technical Assistant for its QHSE Group. The role of this job is to provide support to the QHSE Division to facilitate smooth processing of technical administrative matters covering QHSE filing, data entry, HSE records management, KMS databases and related issues. Undertake statistical calculations and reporting, including tracking and trending of QHSE performance.
Establish and maintain a manual / computerized filing and documentation management and retention system for the HSE Division to ensure that all technical documentation and records are maintained in an orderly manner to facilitate retrieval.
Develop and maintain an up-to-date database on Power2, Near Misses, HSE alerts, accidents, contractors, emergency information, laws and regulations, changes, procedures and policies and all QHSE issues to support and complement HSE Division activities.
Generate statistical information, including tracking and trending from recorded QHSE data to assist management in assessing progress and performance, identifying loopholes and areas of concern to facilitate decision-making.
Take down minutes of technical QHSE meetings and circulates among meeting attendees and other designated individuals. Keeps track of QHSE issues relating to projects undertaken by the Company to participate in the preparation of up-to-date reports.
Follow up with relevant divisions, contractors and consultants on various corrective actions, measures and changes in QHSE plans, policies and procedures, as directed to ensure implementation and to facilitate the division’s workflow.
Provide administrative support to the HSE division’s budgeting process. Maintain a track of division expenditures and notify Vice President on deviations from set budget lines. Maintain a record of justifications for deviation for future retrieval for reporting purposes.
Maintain confidentiality of assigned work, ensure that confidential information is not revealed other than to those specified, to safeguard the Company's interests.
Perform other similar or related duties as and when assigned by direct supervisor.

Ensure there is a clear technical basis and associated operational data for all engineering activities to be carried out by Facilities Engineering through interfacing with other Company departments/functions.

Ensure Technical Justification documentation is routinely prepared in readiness for Technical Change Panel review meetings to be chaired by the Engineering Manager.
